Macao Delegation Attends the 5th GBA Computing Power Industry Conference, Advancing Macao–Shaoguan Cooperation
On June 12, the fifth Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Computing Power Industry Conference opened at the Greater Bay Area Data Application Industrial Park in Shaoguan under the theme “Computing Power Converges in Shaoguan, Intelligence Opens a New Journey.” Guided by the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the conference brought together experts, academicians and industry leaders to explore new computing trends and digital-economy opportunities. More than 1,000 enterprises attended, over 200 projects were signed, and cooperation intentions worth hundreds of billions of yuan were announced. The event also reflected the rapid global growth of Chinese token services, whose average daily calls have exceeded 140 trillion and captured 36 percent of the market for three consecutive weeks ahead of the United States.

Lou Tak Kei, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the Macao–Shaoguan Fellowship Association; Cheng Sze Yiu, General Manager of ACME PURE Limited; and Chan Ching Fei, a member of the Zhenjiang District Committee of the CPPCC in Shaoguan and President of the Macao Scholars Development Association, attended the conference by invitation. During the event, Lou and Cheng represented Macao in signing the Macao–Shaoguan Overseas Computing Base Token Project Cooperation Agreement, one of the conference’s key cooperation highlights.

Lou Tak Kei: Supporting Shaoguan’s computing industry and deepening comprehensive cooperation
Lou Tak Kei has remained closely connected to his hometown and has worked for many years between Shaoguan and Macao to introduce investment, expertise and new cooperation opportunities, while supporting Macao’s integration into national development.

Lou said that Shaoguan, home to the only national data-centre cluster in South China, has established a high-standard computing foundation with leading scale and extremely low network latency in the Greater Bay Area. More than 20 major intelligent-computing projects, including the domestic “Zhenwu” 10,000-card cluster, have been launched. Shaoguan is rapidly emerging as an intelligent-computing city serving the Greater Bay Area and connecting with the rest of the country. He said that returning to Shaoguan to witness and advance the overseas computing project carries special significance, and that he will continue to promote deeper cooperation in the digital economy, artificial intelligence and computing services.
Cheng Sze Yiu: Using Shaoguan’s innovative model to serve global AI development
Cheng Sze Yiu is a senior network and systems engineer with HCIE professional and Huawei HCIE instructor certifications. Under his leadership, ACME PURE Limited follows a dual-engine strategy built around computing power and AI, with operations in domestic and international markets and mature capabilities in technology development and commercial operations.

Cheng said that computing power has become a critical productive force for the AI era. Shaoguan’s innovative operating models—including inbound data processing, a data bonded zone and closed-loop processing without data retention—provide a comprehensive data-security framework that protects the rights of global clients and strengthens international confidence in Shaoguan’s computing services. ACME PURE Limited has worked in Macao’s AI technology sector for many years and strongly recognizes Shaoguan’s progress and innovative approach. The company will apply its technical strengths to connect high-quality computing resources with practical AI scenarios and help bring Chinese computing services to international markets.
Chan Ching Fei: Leveraging Macao’s unique strengths to empower global industries
Chan Ching Fei has long focused on the integration of digital industries in Guangdong and Macao and has actively promoted youth exchange and industrial cooperation between the two places.
Chan said that Macao’s unique advantages under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework make it an important gateway connecting the mainland with the world. He plans to encourage more young people in Macao to embrace emerging AI industries and digital-economy opportunities, while using Macao’s international links and channels to develop the city as a transit hub and outward-facing window for computing services. The goal is to enable high-quality Greater Bay Area computing resources to support global AI development and expand the international reach of Chinese digital technology and services.
The conference also launched the Greater Bay Area public computing service platform and Token Factory, initiated a special inbound-data-processing zone, and signed a group of major industrial projects covering large-model computing, data circulation and AI applications. These developments mark Shaoguan’s continued transition from a national computing hub node into a leading intelligent-computing industry centre.
